How the Inbox review flow handles school email chaos

Permission slips, swimming time changes, a sports day with a 5 euro contribution buried in paragraph three. Here is what happens when you forward it instead of retyping it.

A school email rarely says just one thing. Sports day is Friday the 18th, starting at 8:30 instead of the usual time, bring a red shirt, and do not forget the 5 euro parent contribution by Thursday. Reading it is easy. Remembering to act on every part of it, days later, while cooking dinner, is the actual problem.

Forward it, do not retype it

Your household gets its own family address. Forward the email there from whatever mail app you already use, Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook, anything that can forward a message. If your mailbox is Outlook, there is a second option: connect it and choose which senders Lare is allowed to read, one by one, so only the school and the clubs you pick are ever involved. Larevio never asks for your email password, and it never sees the rest of your inbox either way.

What lands in the Inbox

Each item that arrives shows where it came from: the sender, the subject, and a short excerpt of the original, so you can tell at a glance which message it is from without reopening your mail app. Lare splits a single email into its separate parts where it can, the sports day becomes a proposed event, the parent contribution becomes a task with its own due date, each shown on its own so you can approve one and edit or skip another.

Nothing is added automatically. You check the time, the date and the detail, fix anything Lare read wrong, and only then approve it. Say yes to the sports day and no to a task you already handled, and that is exactly what happens, nothing more.

What happens to the email afterwards

The sender, subject and excerpt shown during review are cleared on the next nightly cleanup once you approve or dismiss the item, not the instant you tap. Any attachment is removed after 7 days regardless of what you decide, and a suggestion you never act on is removed after 30 days on its own. A forwarded email also gets an entry in Family Mail that everyone in your household can read: the sender, the subject, Lare’s summary and the start of the text, up to 1,000 characters. That entry is cleared once nothing from the email is still waiting for a decision, and after 30 days at the latest. Text past the first 1,000 characters is never stored. Lare reads forwarded email on Free too, within your household’s Lare allowance; email forwarded after the allowance runs out is not read or kept, so forward it again later. Outlook Mail pauses on Free until you choose a plan.
