Larevio vs Cozi

Cozi has been a solid family organiser for years: a shared calendar, lists and meal planning. Larevio focuses on a narrower job, turning the messages that cause the chaos into a plan you check, so here is where the two actually differ.

Shared family calendar

Larevio

One household calendar, every child in their own colour.

Cozi

A shared family calendar for up to 12 members, each with their own name and colour.

Bringing in email

Larevio

Forward any email, or allow senders in Outlook. Lare proposes an event, task or list item and waits for your approval, every time.

Cozi

Cozi Max, its top paid tier, offers AI Event Import, turning invitations and calendar details from your inbox into events. Cozi's own description does not mention a review step before those events appear.

Beyond email

Larevio

A photo of a form, a voice note, or just typing to Lare all work the same way: reviewed, then approved.

Cozi

Cozi's own page describes AI Event Import working from your inbox only; it does not mention a photo, a document or a voice note as another way in.

Connecting other calendars

Larevio

Google calendars connect both ways. Microsoft calendars connect for personal accounts, with new events saved there automatically; Apple Calendar connects as a read-only link.

Cozi

Cozi's home page says you can bring plans in from Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar, plus school calendars and sports team schedules.

Price

Larevio

Lare AI is included in a Larevio subscription with fair-use limits; the calendar, tasks and lists stay free.

Cozi

The core app is free. Cozi Gold and Cozi Max are yearly paid plans, and AI Event Import is only in Cozi Max.

Both tools solve a real problem for busy households. Cozi has the longer track record and covers more ground, meal planning included. Larevio is built around one specific habit: nothing from a message, photo or voice note joins your family's plan until you have looked at it and said yes.

Common questions

Is Larevio trying to replace Cozi?

Not necessarily. If meal planning and recipes matter to your household, Cozi still covers that. Larevio's own job is narrower: getting the dates and tasks out of your actual messages, with a check before anything is added.

Does Cozi review AI-found events before they are added?

Based on Cozi's own description of AI Event Import, no review step is mentioned; events are turned into calendar entries from your inbox. In Larevio, every proposal from Lare waits for you to check and approve it first, with no exception for a deletion or another destructive change.
